The term clarity can be very elusive when examining the close connection between thought, language and referent. Descartes, Wittgenstein and Peirce were three monumental figures who contributed to the understanding of the concept of clarity, linked to rational truth, linguistic expression and logical-semantic contents. Reasonableness, coherence of the interlocutors, contexts of ordinary language and «language games» are some of the ideas that will need to be clarified for the concept of clarity.
